Our History
Eaglesnest was founded in 1980 by Cleveland General for his son Richard Generals passion for motocross.
Prior to Clevelands passing in 2019 he was a pround member of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy Chief Council serving the community and people for 61 years.
Richard as a teenager wanted to create an atmosphere for like minded people. His goal was to create a place where anyone could go and ride their bikes, keeping it as family oriented as possible.
The first track started on the front lawn of the family property, over the years the track has transitioned to the back field. Where it has seen many sanctioned motocross racing events, ATV, Flat Track, Offroad Tough Trucks and snowmobile races.
The facility was operated by Rick General until he passed away after medical complications in 2018.
Clevelands daughter and Ricks sister Laurie Monture embarked on the adventure to carry on the history of Eagles Nest after Ricks passing. With the help of Ricks friends and Eagles Nest community the track carried on. A huge thank you and shout out to all that made this happen since his passing.
In 2020 there was a lengthy discussion between Laurie Monture and her two children Kyle and Sarah General about the future direction of Eagles Nest. With Kyle and Sarah spending their childhoods at the track they both wanted to see it continue.
With Sarah General persuing a career in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces and Department of National Defence, Kyle General took up the mantel.
Kyle along with his wife Rebecca hope to bring lasting childhood memories for their 5 children just like himself and his sister had.
With our Eagles Nest Teams help we hope to bring this facility to the potential it has.
